Logitech International announced that it has exceeded its commitment to incorporating post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) into products, reducing carbon emissions and increasing the recyclability of consumer goods materials and ingredients
.

Delphine Donne-Crock, general manager of creativity and productivity at Logitech, said: "Consumers now have a wide range of choices when choosing an eco-friendly mouse and keyboard

”
According to reports, most post-consumer recycled plastic resins have traditionally been limited to black or gray applications
.
To bring these recycled plastics to the same level of quality as virgin plastics, Logitech innovated material properties to give these plastics a second life without compromising material quality and product design aesthetics, preventing waste plastics from going to landfills
.
Currently, the percentage of recycled plastic in Logitech products varies from 75% to 20% for light-colored products depending on the type, color, and material composition of the product
.
Logitech has partnered with suppliers to explore more than 30 color palettes
.
Logitech says its product design goals are to maximize the percentage of recycled content in each product, while ensuring that high aesthetic appeal and durability tests are met
.
All PCR plastics used in Logitech products are sourced from end-of-life consumer electronics products that are third-party certified by SCS Global Services
.
"We are delivering breakthrough solutions in materials, packaging improvements and circularity to reduce the company's carbon impact," said Prakash Arunkundrum, Logitech's head of global operations and sustainability
.
Logitech is a signatory to the Climate Pledge and the first consumer electronics company to commit to providing detailed carbon impact labels on product packaging across its entire product portfolio
.
Logitech has also recently accelerated its climate action strategy by capturing carbon
