African telecommunications company Liquid Telecom is building a new 82km cross-border fibre network connection between South Africa and Botswana in a quest to improve connectivity
between South Africa and Liquid's 73,000km pan-African fibre network.
According to reports, the new fiber optic network will connect Lobatse on the South African border with Gaborone, the capital of Botswana
.
Odirile Tamajobe, Managing Director of Liquid Telecom Botswana, said: "At Liquid Telecom, we have a proven track record

This expansion into Botswana reaffirms our strong commitment to

Recently, Liquid Telecom announced the acquisition of the 42.
5% stake currently held by the Botswana Power Company (BPC), giving it full control of its subsidiary
in Botswana.
