LEONI Cable will present its latest electric vehicle charging cable at the eCarTec in Germany (Munich), which provides electricity for electric vehicles and has been certified
to the European prEN 50620 standard for the first time on the market.
It is reported that LEONI is the first cable company
to pass this standard certification.
prEN refers to the first draft of Europe's new standard for charging cables for electric vehicles and is the basis for the development of
the international IEC 62893 standard.
Due to the different standards and market certifications in different countries, the European Union introduced this unified standard to promote the popularity
of electric vehicles.
This standard will be introduced as a test specification in 2016, when the standards of testing bodies in EU countries will no longer apply, thus speeding up the identification process
of charging cables in EU countries.
This new standard covers cables
from 1.
5mm² to 70mm².
Compared to the previous standard, prEN 50620 further reduces the wall thickness, making cables more economical and simple
in terms of resource utilization.
LEONI was the first cable manufacturer to be certified to the prEN 50620 standard for electric vehicle charging
cables.
The company's EV charging cables will provide efficient power support for EVs and can be installed
in large quantities in either straight or curved versions.
In addition, they can be used for both small-profile AC charging and large-profile DC charging
.
LEONI will be presenting the complete combination
of the cable and various drive systems at this year's Electro Mobility Exhibition.
LEONI's innovative charging cable concepts for all types of drive systems meet the standards
of different countries, regions and a large number of users.
In addition to the European prEN standard, LEONI has also passed the standard certification
of North America, Japan and even the Chinese market.
LEONI's production plants around the world enable it to supply customers
worldwide in a timely manner.
