Learn about Teledyne's new high-resolution multispectral line scan camera, and what we can do more about defect detection beyond the surface
Teledyne DALSA Introduces Linea ML 8k Multispectral CLHS Line Scan Camera to Improve Defect Detection with a Single Scan
WATERLOO, Canada, April 05, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies [NYSE:TDY] company, is pleased to announce the launch of the multispectral Camera Link HS (CLHS) line scan camera, a new addition to the award-winning Linea product line model
.
Offering spectrally independent RGB and NIR outputs, this latest high-resolution line scan camera is capable of inspecting surface and subsurface defects in a wide variety of materials, components and products, making it ideal for handling the most challenging inspection applications
"Linea ML 8k multispectral cameras are versatile enough to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of many of today's challenging inspection applications, such as banknotes, passports and other high security prints," said Xing-Fei He, Senior Product Manager, Teledyne DALSA
.
"In addition, we have been able to provide spectrally independent RGB and NIR channel outputs, enabling accurate surface and subsurface defect detection in products such as semiconductor wafers and printed circuit boards (PCBs) in a single scan, greatly simplifying Visual system design
The Linea ML 8k multispectral camera uses Teledyne DALSA's latest CMOS 8k quad-linear sensor with a pixel size of 5x5 μm and provides a maximum line rate of 70 kHz x 4 using a CLHS fiber optic interface
.
The camera also has a built-in SFP+ transceiver that converts electrical signals to optical signals and connects directly to fiber optic cables using LC connectors
Main features:
Teledyne DALSA's Newest CMOS Quad Linear Sensor
Spectrally independent RGB and NIR outputs for accurate defect detection without spectral interference
Each channel has independent exposure control for better white balance
Seamlessly switch from top speed to stop
Next-generation Camera Link HS interface with field-proven data reliability
Direct connection to fiber optic cable, extending cable lengths up to 300 meters
