Bond-Laminates, based in Brilon, Germany, a wholly owned subsidiary of specialty chemicals company Lanxess, has added two new production lines for Tepex continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composit.

High-performance parts made of lightweight construction

Tepex is gaining popularity in the automotive industry and is used in the mass production of lightweight structural components such as front and bumper brackets, brake pedals and underbody pane.

The huge potential of electric vehicles

LANXESS also sees Tepex producing comfortable seat backs and armrests and seat shells in autonomous vehicles, shuttles, VIP cars, family bus.

Typical applications for Tepex in consumer electronics include thin but extremely strong structural components in cell phones, tablets, laptops and T.
