Korea Telecom (KT) has signed an agreement with Chilean telecom operator CTR (Comunicacion y Telefonia Rural) to oversee the construction

In addition, KT also agreed to explore more business opportunities
with CTR in areas such as 5G and IoT technology.
The goal of the "Fibra Optica Austral" project PPP cooperation is to provide telecommunications services to 300,000 Chileans living in the Patagonian region with lagging Internet services, bringing much-needed economic, tourism and trade benefits
