This is another move by Kemira to implement its growth strategy, which aims to serve the growing water treatment demand in China and the Asia-Pacific region

Kemira has built a new sodium hypochlorite production line at its Yanzhou base, which is expected to be officially put into operation in January 2022

The pre-stage work of the polyaluminum chloride (PAC) expansion project at Kemira’s Yanzhou plant is being finalized, and the new unit is expected to be put into operation in March 2022

According to reports, Kemira’s PAC and sodium hypochlorite projects both use industrial by-products or recyclable by-products as key raw materials and are produced in a new production line

The hydrochloric acid used in the production of PAC is an organic by-product of AKD wax production in the same chemical park in Yanzhou.
