Recently, Kemira, which provides sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries, announced the establishment of a new Asia-Pacific R&D center in Pujiang Town, Shanghai to accelerate the development of renewable, biodegradable and recyclable products in Asia
In fact, as early as the beginning of this year, Kemira announced that it would further increase its production capacity in the Asia-Pacific region and open a new factory for the production of polymer dry powder in Ulsan, South Korea
At the beginning of July this year, Kemira increased the production capacity of water treatment chemicals at its Yanzhou plant in China, and built a new sodium hypochlorite production line at the Yanzhou base, which will be officially put into operation in January 2022
In addition, as the current major manufacturer and supplier of sizing agents in the Asia-Pacific region, Kemira has also added a third alkenyl succinic anhydride (ASA) sizing agent production line at its wholly-owned plant in Nanjing, Jiangsu, which greatly improves ASA’s market share.
As part of Kemira’s long-term growth strategy, the newly-built Shanghai R&D center will work closely with its production bases in Nanjing, Yanzhou, China and Ulsan, South Korea to develop consistent production processes and purchase new raw materials and final products
