On June 11, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy announced that the first international bidding meeting for renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan had ended, with a total of 53 enterprises participating in the project bidding, and finally 19 enterprises signed project contracts
with buyers with a total installed capacity of 194.

According to the results of the tender, Kazakhstan will complete the construction of 4 solar power plants in 2 years, 1 biomass biogas power station and 10 wind power plants in 3 years, and 4 hydropower plants in 4 years, with a total investment of about 200 million US dollars

It is reported that this year, Kazakhstan plans to launch renewable energy projects with a total installed capacity of 1 GW, including 290 MW of solar power plants, 620 MW of wind power plants, 75 MW of hydropower stations and 15 MW of biomass power plants

Follow-up project tenders are scheduled to take place
in October this year.
