The hexanucleotide amplification of the non-coding region of C9ORF72 was found to be the most common genetic abnormality in bvFTD and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

In this study, we investigated whether carriers of the C9orf72RE mutation had certain personal and/or behavioral characteristics in their lives before the onset of bvFTD symptoms
