In order to realize the overall development potential of the Jurassic and the practical requirements for effective development at low oil prices, Jianghan Oilfield launched a Jurassic three-dimensional evaluation competition in the second half of last year.

Have confidence and foundation

When dealing with the Jurassic system, it is most appropriate to sum it up with "ups and downs".

"In 2011, retested the old shale wells in the Dongyuemiao section of Well 111, and then deployed two horizontal wells, but the production was low.

In 2019, researchers believed that the Dongyuemiao section has better shale gas occurrence conditions, including better organic matter abundance, organic matter types, porosity and permeability conditions, and oil and gas conditions, so they focused on the Dongyuemiao section of the Fuxing area.

Immediately afterwards, the successful trial production of Well Zhong 1 and Well Fuye 8-1 gave the technicians great confidence: the Jurassic in the Fuxing area has a lot to do.

"The 200-meter reservoir has three sets of upper, middle and lower gas layers.

Under the guidance of the three-dimensional development idea, researchers have taken three-dimensional consideration of the three sets of gas reservoirs in the Jurassic, conducted geological evaluations, and selected favorable blocks.

"How big is the Jurassic, where the oil and gas resources are good, and how to solve the complex underground conditions, we have to clarify these.

Good prospects and difficult

"The favorable exploration area is more than 2,000 square kilometers, and the continental shale oil and gas resources of the Dongyuemiao and Da'anzhai sections of the Ziliujing Formation, the Liang 2 and Liang 3 members of the Liangshan Formation exceed 1.

The difficulty is as great as the prospects are.

"The underground may be oil, gas, or a mixture of oil and gas.

To this end, scientific researchers stationed at the well site to conduct on-site sampling of high-pressure fluids and laboratory analysis to provide first-hand objective and true data for later work.

Since the three-dimensional evaluation of the Jurassic system requires analysis of the whole process, cross-discipline and multi-discipline, it is a great challenge to scientific researchers.

    At present, the "Three-dimensional Evaluation of Jurassic System in Fuxing Area and Overall Deployment Recommendations" has been reviewed and approved.
