China Petrochemical News Network reported that Jianghan Oilfield has undergone decades of development and faces the "trilemma" of difficulties in adjusting well patterns in old areas, improving water quality along the way, and upgrading development technology.

At present, scientific researchers focus on improving the "three rates" of water injection, through flow field adjustments, pilot tests, and transformation of development methods, to control the natural decline rate within the target range.

Up to now, the research personnel of the institute have taken samples at 54 water injection nodes at 17 water injection stations in 4 oil production plants, and carried out testing and analysis of 7 control indicators and 4 auxiliary indicators.
