Recently, Prime Polymer Co of Japan stated that the company will build a new set of polypropylene (PP) production equipment with a capacity of 200,000 tons/year at its production base in Shiyuan.
The facility will be set in 2021.
Construction started in August of 2008, and it is planned to start operations in November 2024
.

It is reported that the new PP plant will use the licensed technology of Japanese manufacturer Mitsui Chemicals
.

The company said that the new production facility will produce high-performance polypropylene products and meet the needs of lightweight automotive materials
