    Kyocera recently announced the commissioning of its latest floating solar (FPV) power plant at the Yamakura Dam Reservoir in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, making the 13.

    The FPV covers an area of 180,000 square meters (more than 44 acres), uses 50,904 Kyocera solar modules, and generates an estimated 16,170 megawatt-hours (MWh)

    All the electricity produced at the plant is sold to Tokyo Electric Power Company

    Kyocera TCL Solar has built 61 solar power plants across Japan and developed 7 FPV power plants
    in Japan that use freshwater dams and reservoirs.
