Italian telecommunications company WindTre said it has now launched 5G networks in 59 Italian provinces and eight other capital cities, covering about 73.

It is reported that WindTre first launched 5G services in Italy in mid-November 2020, covering about 40%
of the population at that time.
One month later, that percentage had risen to 55.

With plans to expand 5G coverage nationwide still ongoing, WindTre aims to cover 70 cities
by 2021.
