Evonik expands cooperation with IBM to accelerate AI development

Evonik recently announced the expansion of its cooperation with IBM in the field of digitalization to accelerate the development of
artificial intelligence (AI).
The two companies have expanded their strategic partnership ahead of schedule to 2025
.

In addition, Evonik will participate in AI research and development at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the world's first chemical company
to participate in the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab.
Evonik and IBM have also successfully built artificial intelligence, which will further accelerate research
into new materials.
Working closely with IBM Research, a deep neural network was developed and trained that predicts the properties of high-performance polymers or new formulations, helping researchers act like a compass to provide promising directions
for new products and customer solutions.
