BP will invest in the UK's largest hydrogen plant

Recently, the UK's largest hydrogen plant project led by BP was officially announced
.
The project, called H2 Teesside, will be officially launched in Teesside, in the north-east of England, and production is expected to start by
2027 at the latest.

Throughout the project, BP is both a technical partner and future operator of the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project
.
H2 Teesside will be linked to NZT and will also be linked
to carbon capture and storage projects.

BP said the H2 could also be used for home heating or transportation
for residents in the area.
According to reports, the Tisay plant will have up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of "blue hydrogen" capacity
