Nova
Chemicals recently said it will resume plant expansion projects
in Sarnia and Corunna, Ontario, Canada, in phases.
The company said it is moving forward with two major projects
in Ontario.
One is a 450,000-tonne/year polyethylene (PE) plant
in Rokeby.
The other is the Corunna 816,000 tons/year ethylene cracker capacity expansion project
.
Both projects are scheduled for completion
by the end of 2021.
Nova Chemical said that it is following the relevant instructions of the Ontario provincial government, complying with public health guidelines and government directives, and advancing the construction of
the project.
In addition, trials and construction of the company's cracker retrofit project in Alberta remain suspended
.
