LANXESS has launched Additin RC 3502
, an organic lubricant additive for passenger cars and high-performance engine oils.
The product has been specially developed
to reduce friction, provide continuous performance and wear protection.
Non-corrosive, compatible with all synthetic and mineral engine oils and free of SAPS (sulfonate ash, phosphorus, sulfur), it significantly reduces friction while providing continuous performance and wear protection
.
Dr.
Frank DeBlase, Application Technology Manager, ADD Lubricant Additives, said, "The newly developed Additin RC 3502 is a durable organic friction modifier for extended drain intervals, high mileage applications typically up to 20,000 miles today, with excellent solubility
in commercially available high-performance engine oils.
In
addition, Additin RC 3502 increases synergies between different additives on the friction surface, such as facilitating the interaction
of anti-wear agents, detergents and molybdenum dithiocarbamate.
This feature, combined with excellent friction reduction performance and durability, makes it compliant with ILSAC GF-5+ and ILSAC GF-6 (a new industry specification requiring higher fuel economy) in engine dynamometer testing (ASTM D8114).
