April 24, Huntsman announced that it had completed its acquisition
of Demilec.
Huntsman acquired Demilec in cash-only from a subsidiary of Sun Capital Partners for $350 million
.
Demilec is a manufacturer and distributor of spray polyurethane foam insulation assemblies with annual revenues of approximately $170 million and two production plants
.
It is capable of producing a full range of MDI type spray polyurethane foam compositions, which can be sold directly to downstream customers or through distributors
.
Huntsman expects to fully integrate the business by the end of this year, when the spray polyurethane foam business expects EBITDA to exceed 25%.
