PPG Releases 2016 Corporate Sustainability Report PPG recently released its 2016 Corporate Sustainability Report
, announcing that it has achieved the greenhouse gas and waste reduction targets
of its 2020 Sustainable Development Goals four years ahead of schedule.
In 2016, PPG's greenhouse gas emissions intensity decreased by 29% compared to 2012, while total waste disposal fell by 11%
over the same period.
In addition to achieving reductions in greenhouse gas and waste emissions, PPG achieved the following results in 2016: sustainable products contributed 31% of the company's sales, up 55% since 2012; 36% reduction in energy intensity since 2012; 11% reduction in leakage rate, etc
.
