Honeywell UOP's new filtration membrane modules support natural gas processing
Honeywell UOP has launched a new filtration membrane module, SeparexTM Flux+, which can further enhance natural gas processing capacity, helping producers reduce costs and achieve higher profits
.
Separex membrane modules are inert solids that do not require the use of chemical solvents, making them a risk-free, environmentally friendly solution with high efficiency and long service life, especially in remote areas
where logistics are difficult.
To date, more than 130 Honeywell UOP membrane filtration systems have been installed worldwide
.
Recently, Honeywell UOP gave the original Separex cellulose acetate membrane module a new brand name, Separex Flux
.
The new SeparexTM Flux+ is an upgrade that can directly replace the filter membrane modules in the existing Separex membrane filtration system, mainly for the necessary removal
of impurities such as acid gas and water contained in natural gas before it enters the pipeline network.
The new filter membrane modules can increase the system's gas treatment capacity and increase the area removal rate of carbon dioxide compared to existing membrane products, helping natural gas producers solve bottlenecks in downstream processing units, thereby reducing overall operating costs
.
At the same time, it requires a very short start-up time and has a height adjustment capability
.
In addition, the unit has a compact layout and requires little or no auxiliary equipment, making it suitable for onshore or offshore installations
