Annexes VIII, IX and X of the EU REACH Regulation have recently been amended to include extended generation reproductive toxicity tests (EOGRTS, EU B.
56, OECD TG 443) in the data requirements for
nodes registered as reproductive toxicity under REACH.
According to the amendments, the extended One Generation Reproductive Toxicity Test (EOGRTS) will replace the Two Generations Reproductive Toxicity Test (EU B.
35, OECD TG 416) as the data requirement for the REACH registered reproductive toxicity node, thus helping to reduce unnecessary animal testing and shorten the trial cycle
.
This amendment will take effect
on March 13, 2015.
