INVISTA completes technology upgrade to ADN plant in Victoria
On March 24, INVISTA announced that it has completed its project to upgrade its Victorian adiponitrile (ADN) facility, bringing the company's state-of-the-art ADN technology to its Victoria, Texas facility as planned as part of
scheduled maintenance at the facility.
This site will manage the controlled start-up and start-up
of ADN production.
Bill Greenfield, president of INVISTA Intermediates, said: "We are pleased that this ADN retrofit will allow Victoria to increase in-line production capacity and look forward to this supporting the growth of downstream nylon 6,6 applications.
"
INVISTA's latest ADN technology has also been deployed at its plant
in Orange, Texas.
It is located in Butachimie, France, and will be deployed at the ADN plant in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in China, which is scheduled to start production
in 2022.
This technology increases product yield, reduces energy consumption, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, enhances process stability and reduces capital intensity
compared to existing technologies.
