INEOS Indonesia PTA plant upgrade project was successfully put into operation

Recently, INEOS successfully completed an upgrade project at its PTA plant in Indonesia with a total investment of $70 million
.

The upcycling project has resulted in a significant reduction in carbon emissions and increased production capacity, supporting the competitiveness and demand growth of Indonesia's polyester industry
.
A series of measures, including the installation of larger oxidation reactors, the reconfiguration of the reactor's heat recovery system and the modification of the process air compressor system, will reduce CO2 emissions per ton of PTA production by 15% and increase production capacity by 15%, from 500,000 tons to 575,000 tons
per year.
