Trinsio will build a world-class rPS chemical recycling plant

According to foreign media recently, Trinseo has signed a contract with technology supplier Synova and engineering services company Worley to build a world-class chemical recycling plant
at Trinseo's base in Tessenderlo, Belgium, starting at the end of 2022.

The plant specializes in the development of recycled polystyrene (rPS), which can process 15,000 tons of rPS flakes per year, which will be converted into high-quality recycled styrene for further production of polystyrene (PS) and styrene derivatives, including acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN).

With this acquisition, Shengxiao focuses on all aspects of waste plastic recycling, transforming recycled materials into high-quality recycled materials through advanced technology and applying them to high-end applications to maximize the value of
materials.
