On March 6, Mitsubishi Chemical, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mitsubishi Chemical Performance Polymers Europe (MCPP), made a business acquisition
of Dutch Filaments BV.
Dutch Filaments BV, headquartered in Hermond, the Netherlands, is a developer, manufacturer and supplier
of filaments and polymeric materials for 3D printing.
The acquisition marks an important step
for Mitsubishi Chemical in the polymer 3D printing filament market.
With this acquisition, Mitsubishi Chemical has added polymer baseline materials for 3D printing to its high-performance polymer business portfolio, helping to strengthen its position
as a supplier of 3D printing materials.
Based on the technology and network of wire manufacturing in the Netherlands, the company will further advance the Mitsubishi Chemical Group's strategy of high-performance polymers and other materials, and further expand its 3D printing-related business
