WACKER has developed silane-type cross-linking adhesives and water removers for sealants

WACKER has developed a new arylalkoxysilane monomer
.
The GENIOSIL® XL 70 additive is specially designed for silane crosslinking adhesives and sealants and is particularly suitable for applications where odors must not be emitted
.
The additive has a high flash point, making it more convenient
to store and use.
The new water remover is compatible with all silane-modified polymers and organofunctional silanes in the GENIOSIL® brand range
.

GENIOSIL XL 70 is a low-viscosity, transparent, colorless arylalkoxysilane liquid silane product
.
Unlike conventional silane-crosslinked adhesives and sealants, GENIOSIL XL 70 has a small odor, making it particularly suitable for adhesives and sealants used over large areas, enabling mixture producers to formulate odor-free floor adhesives or liquid waterproofing coatings
.
These formulations also meet increasingly stringent occupational safety regulations
.
In addition, the flash point of GENIOSIL XL 70 is significantly higher than that of conventional water removers, at 96°C (measured according to DIN EN ISO 3679).
