SGL launches the ECOSYN R hydrogen chloride synthesis plant
SGL Group (SGL) has recently launched its innovative ECOSYN
R technology for hydrogen chloride (HCl) production.
The technology debuted at this year's ACHEMA in Frankfurt and is now officially unveiled
to the global market.
The innovative hydrogen chloride synthesis unit makes full use of waste heat from the production process, effectively reducing energy costs and CO2 emissions
.
Compared to conventional hydrogen chloride synthesis plants, ECOSYN R recovers up to 90% of waste heat from the hydrogen chloride synthesis process, and the recovered waste heat can be used to produce steam, which is used as a heating medium
in the production process.
This innovation not only reduces energy costs, but also CO2 emissions
.
SGL Group's current ECOSYN R products produce 60 tons of pure hydrogen chloride and more than 55 tons of steam
at a pressure of 10 bar per day.
The outstanding energy efficiency of ECOSYN R is mainly due to high-performance materials
such as DIABON R graphite.
Frank Wittchen, Head of SGL Group's Process Technology Business Unit, said: "ECOSYN R technology is designed to provide customers with more cost-effective and sustainable all-in-one solutions, and its outstanding performance will set a new industry standard
.
It is hoped that it will further expand SGL's market advantages
.
