Rare earth technology innovation pilot project launched
The "Rare Earth Technology Innovation Method Pilot" project, led by the Productivity Promotion Center of the Science and Technology Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and participated by a number of rare earth application enterprises, was officially launched
in Baotou National Rare Earth High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
The project is expected to further accelerate the process of creating and inventing high-quality rare earth innovative products in Inner Mongolia, thereby promoting the structural adjustment and industrial upgrading
of the rare earth industry.
The main goal of the project is to develop technical problems around all links in the rare earth industry chain, apply innovative methods to seek breakthroughs, and cultivate a group of innovative scientific and technological talents to help rare earth enterprises establish a good mechanism and resource conditions
for the continuous implementation of innovative methods.
After the pilot work was launched, the project expert group investigated five enterprises in Inner Mongolia Huamei Rare Earth Company, Baotou Ruixin Rare Earth Company, Baotou Rare Oak Hydrogen Storage New Materials Company, Baogang Rare Earth Magnet Material Company, and Inner Mongolia Changan Permanent Magnet Motor Company.
At present, a total of 14 Inner Mongolia rare earth backbone enterprises and nearly 50 technical and management personnel from two universities have participated in this project, and the technical problems raised are distributed in different links of the rare earth industry chain, many of which involve common technical bottlenecks in the rare earth industry
