The comprehensive treatment of refining and chemical waste gas has obtained technical support
The comprehensive refinery exhaust gas treatment technology jointly developed by Sinopec Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute and Jinling Branch recently passed the technical appraisal
of Sinopec in Nanjing.
After 7 years of scientific research and development and technical research, the project has built 8 sets of waste gas treatment devices, forming a complete set of technologies for the comprehensive treatment of odor and VOC (volatile organic compound) waste gas in the refinery, which provides technical support
for the comprehensive treatment of waste gas in refining and chemical enterprises 。 The industrial application results of the comprehensive treatment technology of refinery exhaust gas show that the concentration of non-methane total hydrocarbons in the air of the plant boundary is reduced by 60%, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is reduced by 90%, the annual reduction of odor and VOC emissions is about 5800 tons, and the annual direct economic benefits are 31 million yuan, which has a significant role
in promoting the environmental protection treatment and technological progress of China's petrochemical industry.
Fushun Petrochemical Institute has been researching waste gas treatment technology
for petrochemical enterprises since 2005.
In 2008, the comprehensive treatment technology of refinery exhaust gas was listed as a key scientific and technological research project
of Sinopec's "Ten Dragons".
The project mainly takes the existing main odor pollution sources of Jinling Branch as the treatment object, and develops comprehensive treatment technologies such as absorption, adsorption, desulfurization, homogenization of total hydrocarbon concentration, catalytic combustion, heat storage combustion, condensation and management, so that the purified gas meets the current standards in China, and provides comprehensive treatment technology and industrial application examples
for odor pollution in refining and chemical enterprises.
The project has developed a series of combined technologies
suitable for various exhaust gas treatment in refining and chemical companies.
Among them, the concept of critical absorption was proposed for the first time, a variety of oil and gas recovery and odor treatment combined process technologies with diesel low temperature absorption as the core were invented, skid-mounted diesel low-temperature absorption equipment and desulfurization reactors were developed, and a new generation of desulfurization and total hydrocarbon concentration homogenization - catalytic combustion technology
suitable for treating high concentrations of odors such as grease traps, flotation tanks and sewage oil tanks in sewage treatment plants was developed.
In addition, the project also established a comprehensive characterization index for refinery odor and VOC fugitive emission sources, which laid a foundation
for the screening, hierarchical management and comprehensive treatment of the main polluting factors of malodor and VOC fugitive emission sources in refinery enterprises.
