A few days ago, Norway released news that long-chain perfluorocarboxylic acid (C9~C14) was added to the list of
priority substances in 2020.
These substances are widely found and used in common consumer goods such as paint, textiles and wood preservation, and investigations have shown that they are harmful
to humans and the environment.
The Norwegian Government hopes that, following the listing of these substances, the industry will gradually replace the listed substances
with other products.
To date, the listed substances include: arsenic and its compounds, bisphenol A, lead and its compounds, brominated flame retardants (pentaBDE, octabromodiphenyl ether, decabromodiphenyl ether, hexabromocyclododecane, etc.
), decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5), 1,2-dichloroethane, chlorodiphenyl and furan, hexachlorobenzene, chlorinated alkyl benzene
, etc.
