WACKER's new resins support gum-based production

WACKER has developed a new solid resin, CAPIVA?S, which increases the productivity
of gum bases.

Chewing gum base is a non-water-soluble component of chewing gum that acts as a carrier
for sugars, sweeteners (polyols) and flavors.
CAPIVA® S solid resins were developed
by WACKER to simplify and increase the productivity of gum-based production.

Chewing gum production is a complex process
involving several processes using many different ingredients.
In some cases, ingredients require intensive preparation and processing

The use of CAPIVA® S solid resin can save on the use of ingredients and greatly simplify the production process
of gum bases.
Even without the addition of elastomers or rosin resins (rosins), CAPIVA?S ensures the flexibility and elasticity
of the gum base.
At the same time, thanks to the oxidation resistance of CAPIVA?S solid resin, this gum has a longer
shelf life.
Due to the reduced adhesion of CAPIVA® solid resin, chewing gum is easier to remove
from surfaces.
In addition, the new solid resin allows flavor to be released faster, requiring only a small amount of flavor to bring full flavor
to the gum.
And this resin does not have any taste, and chewing gum does not produce a bitter taste
even after a long chewing.
