The largest catalytic light gasoline etherification plant was put into operation

Recently, the 500,000 tons/year catalytic light gasoline etherification unit of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company - Lanzhou Petrochemical Company's 500,000 tons/year catalytic light gasoline etherification unit designed by the catalytic light gasoline etherification (LNE) technology independently developed by China Petrochemical Research Institute has opened up the whole process and successfully
    started up in one go.

Lanzhou Petrochemical's 500,000 tons/year catalytic gasoline etherification plant is composed of light gasoline etherification reaction part, fractionation part, methanol recovery part and common engineering part, which has the characteristics of
simple and easy process and low operating cost.
The device can convert methanol into gasoline through etherification and catalysis, and reduce the olefin content in gasoline, thereby reducing the emission
of harmful substances in the exhaust gas of various gasoline uses.

Catalytic light gasoline etherification is a new technology for catalytic gasoline modification, and the etherification process technology is to etherify tertiary olefins in catalytic light gasoline and methanol to generate ether compounds to achieve the purpose of
reducing gasoline olefin content, increasing gasoline octane number and reducing vapor pressure 。 The catalytic light gasoline etherification "two devices and one tower" technology developed by the Petrochemical Research Institute is to cut and separate the full distillate catalytic gasoline into two components of light gasoline and heavy gasoline, and the light gasoline with a boiling point less than 70 °C is selectively hydrogenated to remove the diolefin, and the etherification reaction with methanol is carried out to generate high-octane ether compounds, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the olefin content of
gasoline and increasing the octane number of gasoline.
