Celanese recently launched Clarifoil anti-fog film at Glasstec Düsseldorf, which can be used in many end areas, including: greenhouses, pool fencing and skylights and other construction fields; commercial areas such as refrigerator doors and hotel bathroom mirrors; and optical fields
such as helmet masks and goggles.
Clarifoil anti-fog film is made
of a rigid film layer of cellulose diacetate and a layer of adhesive with high definition.
Cellulose diacetate is inherently anti-fog because moisture is dispersed as it enters the film, maintaining a long-term anti-fog effect
.
Most other anti-fog films have only one layer of surface coating, and once cleaned, worn or scratched, the anti-fog properties will fade or disappear.
Clarifoil films are also resistant to most standard window cleaners and their performance is not degraded
by UV exposure.
