BASF invests in a laboratory in Ludwigshafen

BASF recently announced that it is investing in a laboratory in Ludwigshafen with more than 40,000 square feet and a total investment of nearly 50 million euros
.
The laboratory will be completed
in the second half of 2015, using energy-saving materials such as high-performance foam and innovative building materials such as BASF's Mastertop flooring.

The laboratory will employ nearly 200 expert research teams in different specialties, which is committed to providing ideal conditions
for close cooperation between material physicists and R&D personnel in the fields of additives, formulations and polymers.
In an environment where innovation in various fields is increasingly dependent on intelligent chemistry, functional materials are used
in light vehicle manufacturing or significantly improving product quality due to the combination of various atypical properties.
BASF hopes that the laboratory project will further promote its materials research and development and lay a better foundation
for the research and development of functional materials.

The company believes that the development of system solutions requires cross-disciplinary cooperation
