WACKER is presenting a wide range of silicone innovations
WACKER Germany recently presented a wide range of innovative silicones products and solutions
at several trade fairs.
WACKER presented silicone dispersions
from the WACKER HC303 brand at the 2014 World Congress of Fabrics and Home Care Products organized by the American Association of Oleochemists (AOCS).
During drying, the product forms a hydrophobic silicone film
on the surface of fabrics, leather, wood and other substrates.
This microemulsion does not contain any solvents and can be used to develop highly effective impregnating agents
for a wide range of household products.
At the 61st SEPAWA European Cleaning Congress in Fulda, Germany, WACKER Chemie presented two new silicone impregnating agents – WACKER HC321 and WACKER HC401 – which are formulated to make surfaces of textiles and other substrates highly hydrophobic
。 WACKER?HC321 is WACKER's waterborne silicone dispersion specially designed for household products, especially for subsequent impregnation of textiles.
WACKER HC401 is a solventborne impregnating agent
developed by WACKER for professional fabric washing applications.
Both new impregnating agents are silicone-based active products whose silicone components form a coherent hydrophobic film on the surface of textile or leather products during use, thinly and uniformly enveloping each fiber without bonding
.
WACKER also highlighted its liquid silicone rubber supply at FAKUMA in Friedrichshafen, Germany, with a particular focus on
the LUMISILÖ LR7600 series.
This series of liquid silicone rubbers can be vulcanized into highly transparent elastomers, with crystal-like transparency, can withstand high thermal stress, and can be applied to injection molding processes to achieve low-cost mass production, making it ideal for
lenses and other optical components in optical technology.
