    Yangzi Petrochemical is the first to use a new aromatic hydrocarbon adsorbent

    Yangzi Petrochemical 2# xylene plant was completed and put into operation in 2006, using the aromatic hydrocarbon technology
    of UOP of the United States.
    The original adsorption of ADS-27 of UOP Company of the United States was used, and the purity of paraxylene products reached 99.

    After more than 7 years of long-term full operation, the performance of the adsorbent of the device has deteriorated significantly, and the adsorbent
    needs to be replaced.
    In order to improve product quality, Yangzi Petrochemical took the lead in introducing the latest adsorbent ADS-47 of UOP Company in the domestic aromatic hydrocarbon industry for the first time, and carried out adaptive transformation of the adsorption system, and the purity of paraxylene products after transformation can reach more than 99.

    In order to ensure the successful application of the new adsorbent, the process and equipment personnel of Yangzi Petrochemical Aromatics Plant have formulated a scientific, reasonable and feasible construction operation plan based on their years of accumulated production experience, combined with the technical data provided by UOP and the actual situation of the device, and have successively completed the dismantling of 581 tons of old adsorbent, the reinforcement and transformation of the adsorption tower head, and the filling of 626 tons of new adsorbent
