Stepan acquires INVISTA's aromatic polyester polyol business

On January 29, Stepan announced that it had acquired Invista's aromatic polyester polyol business and related assets
.
The transaction includes two manufacturing sites, one in Wilmington, North Carolina (USA) and the other in Vlissingen (Netherlands), as well as related intellectual property, customer relations, inventory and working capital
.
The acquired business had global sales of approximately $100 million
.
The acquisition is on a cash basis and is expected to be accretive to Stepan's EBITDA
.

The acquisition expands our manufacturing capabilities in the U.

We expect that Invista's existing spare capacity, combined with debottlenecking opportunities at both plants, will enable Stepan to support market growth
in a capital-efficient manner.
