SK Innovation plans to expand battery factories
in the United States and Hungary Recently, South Korea's SK Innovation said that it plans to build a second electric vehicle battery factory in the United States and is considering expanding an electric vehicle battery factory in Hungary to further meet the local market demand

SK Innovation has already built its first plant in Georgia, USA, with an annual capacity of 9.
8 gigawatt-hours, which is expected to start producing batteries from early 2022, and the proposed second plant may have an annual capacity of 10 gigawatt-hours

At the same time, SK Innovation is considering expanding the plant currently under construction in Hungary to increase battery supply
to Volkswagen.
