    Algerian
    state-owned energy group Sonatrach announced that it has awarded EPC contracts totaling about $3.
    67 billion to South Korea's Samsung Engineering and Spain's Técnicas
    Reunidas.
    The two companies will be responsible for building a new refinery
    in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria.

    The 5 million tonne refinery is scheduled to be completed within 52 months and includes process and utilities, crude oil and vacuum distillation, continuous catalytic reforming, isomerization, naphtha hydrotreatment, hydrodesulfurization, hydrocracking and utility systems

    Refined products will include 127,000 tons of propane and 180,000 tons of butane, as well as gasoline, kerosene, gasoline and bitumen
