Air Products today announced that it will supply industrial gases
to Samsung Electronics' second semiconductor plant in Xi'an.

Air Products' Xi'an plant has been working on the project since 2014 and currently operates two large air separation units, a hydrogen production unit and a bulk gas delivery system to supply the
project.
With the signing of the new project, Air Products will further expand the Xi'an plant with several new large-scale air separation units, hydrogen and compressed dry air production units, and a bulk gas station to supply ultra-high purity nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen and compressed dry air
to the new chip plant.
The new facility is scheduled to be operational
in 2019.

Jin Jiaoyong, head of electronics business investment at Air Products' Xi'an High-tech Development Zone, said: "Samsung is a long-term and strategic customer of
