    A number of medical thermoplastic rubber projects of Baling Petrochemical have passed the appraisal

    At the end of August, Baling Petrochemical Synthetic Rubber Division, Epoxy Resin Division and Technical Center respectively undertook five projects, including "Development and industrialization of curing agent for fiber-reinforced composite materials", "Development of water-soluble impurity removal technology in SEBS glue", "Development of new grades of medical SIS", "Development of SIS hydrogenation pilot technology", and "Research on synthesis process of dicyclopentadiene-phenol epoxy resin", which were respectively undertaken by Baling Petrochemical Division, Epoxy Resin Division and Technical Center, which passed the technical appraisal and evaluation
    organized by Sinopec.
    This is a new achievement
    of the company's implementation of its technological innovation strategy.

    The project of "development of water-soluble impurity removal technology in SEBS glue" identified this time, using emulsified water washing and acid neutralization technology technology, greatly reduces the lithium content of impurities in thermoplastic rubber SEBS products with the reputation of "green rubber", significantly improves the color stability of the product, and broadens the application field
    .
    This technology has been successfully applied to SEBS industrial devices in the first half of this year, and the products can meet the application requirements
    of the medical field, such as infusion bags.
    Through the identified "Medical SIS New Grade Development" project, two new grades of medical thermoplastic rubber SIS for hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives with different drug load carriers have been successfully developed, and the application of SIS products has been extended to the field of traditional Chinese medicine drug loading for the first time, and the pilot test
    has been completed.

    Through the review of the "SIS hydrogenation pilot technology development" project, in 2009 began nickel catalytic selective hydrogenation synthesis SEP/SEPS small-scale test technology development, has developed 3 pilot product grades, applied for 4 invention patents, the overall technology has reached the international leading level, the product is mainly used for optical cable ointment, low-end lubricating oil viscosity, application results show that the performance is equivalent
    to similar foreign products.
    The next step is planned for series production
    on the proposed industrial unit.

    The project "Development and Industrialization of Curing Agents for Fiber-Reinforced Composites" identified is a supporting curing agent product
    developed in conjunction with vacuum-infused epoxy resin for wind turbine blades.
    At present, the curing agent has been sold about 300 tons, and the product has high strength, high modulus and high toughness, which fully meets the application requirements of downstream wind turbine blade manufacturers and can replace imported products
    .
    Through the review of the "research on the synthesis process of dicyclopentadiene-phenol epoxy resin", the developed products have good market application prospects
    in the fields of high-speed printing inks and laminates.
