On August 15, the appraisal meeting of the project of mechanical and biological collaborative activation of phosphorus and potassium ore powder to prepare new ecological organic fertilizer organized by the Ministry of Education was held in
Tsinghua University.
The expert group believes that the project explores a new direction of phosphorus and potassium resource utilization, improves the utilization rate of resources, and is of great significance
to solve the shortage of phosphorus and potassium resources in China and promote the sustainable development of agriculture.
In the face of the increasingly depletion of domestic high-grade phosphate ore resources, the difficult development of insoluble potash ore, and the low rate of returning organic resources in the aquaculture industry, the team of Professor Gai Guosheng of the Powder Engineering Laboratory of the School of Materials Science of Tsinghua University has used the technology of combining physical activation and biological activation to prepare medium and low-grade phosphate ore, poorly soluble potash ore and aquaculture organic waste into a new type of rich ecological organic fertilizer
after more than ten years of scientific research.
The expert group believes that the project has formed three major innovation points through multidisciplinary interdisciplinary innovation and multi-field cooperative development:
first, the design and development of special equipment for physical activation, strengthening the conversion of mechanical energy to the internal energy of mineral structure, changing the morphology of mineral crystals, improving the degree of dissociation and stripping of phosphorus block minerals, and preparing low- and medium-grade phosphate ore and potassium-containing interbedded minerals into physically activated composite mineral powders, which improves biological availability.
It has opened up a new process for the preparation of phosphate fertilizer by non-acid method and a new way for
the direct utilization of non-water-soluble potassium-containing minerals.
The second is to use organic waste, activators and biological strains to bioactivate the physical activated mineral powder to prepare a new type of nutritious ecological organic fertilizer, with low manufacturing cost, no use of strong acid, no "three wastes" discharge, reducing environmental pollution, and forming a new model
of low-carbon and environmentally friendly green short-process production.
The third is to create a regional fertilizer ecological microcirculation small-scale phosphorus and potassium-rich ecological organic fertilizer production mode, realize local production and local use, simplify the circulation link, significantly reduce costs and improve fertilizer efficiency
.
According to Professor Gai Guosheng, the project has built two physically activated phosphorus and potassium ore powder production lines with an annual output of 3,000 tons in Zibo, Binzhou and other places in Shandong Province; Built a 200,000-ton organic fertilizer production line in Dongying; In Yangxin, a number of nutrient-rich farm manure production points have been established in the mode of breeding manure fertilization - professional planting ecology, and their scale has reached 20,000 tons
.
In the next step, the project team will carry out experimental demonstrations nationwide, cooperate with growers and breeding enterprises, and increase technology promotion to provide support
for China to achieve the goals of medium and low-grade phosphate ore and poorly soluble potash ore, zero growth in agricultural fertilizer application, and basic return of organic waste from aquaculture.
