Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized its 2013 renewable fuel target, requiring the U.
S.
to use a total of 16.
55 billion gallons of renewable fuel in its gasoline and diesel blends this year, more than 1 billion gallons higher than last year's target of 15.

Under the EPA's renewable fuel use program, approximately 13.
8 billion gallons of ethanol will come from ethanol processed from corn in the Midwest, as well as some imported Brazilian sugarcane ethanol, as well as diesel fuel blended with soybean products and other fuels
