    I pioneered CO2 degradable material plastic bags

    Recently, CNOOC Chemical Co.
    , Ltd.
    and Chunying Chemical Institute, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, have made important progress in the application and development of carbon dioxide degradable plastics (PPC) downstream products, and researchers have successfully blown carbon dioxide degradable materials into environmentally friendly plastic bags, which is the first case
    in the world.
    After the introduction of China's 'plastic restriction order', the advent of this environmentally friendly plastic bag is encouraging
    .

    After use, the plastic bag is completely biodegradable under composting conditions and will not cause any impact on
    the environment.
    In the future, CNOOC Engineering Technology Center will also cooperate with relevant scientific research to focus on the development of high-barrier films, make more rigid and thinner films, meet the requirements of food packaging, and continuously explore the application fields
    of carbon dioxide degradable plastics.

    The reduction and utilization of carbon dioxide has always been a problem
    that all mankind is committed to solving.
    While causing temperatures to rise, carbon dioxide is also a potential resource

    To this end, CNOOC took the lead in the construction
    of PPC plants with an annual output of 3,000 tons in its chemical company.
    In order to cooperate with the construction of the production equipment of the project and expand the application market of carbon dioxide plastic products, the company has also carried out a series of research and development on the application of PPC downstream products while building the device, focusing on the application of carbon dioxide degradable plastics in the field of packaging
    .
    At the same time, the company also cooperated with the Chunying Chemical Institute, president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to develop to give full play to the excellent performance
    of carbon dioxide plastics with high barrier and low oxygen permeability.
