Clariant opens new laboratory center in Malaysia

Clariant announced that it will open a state-of-the-art technology center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to handle the oil services business in line with the company's commitment
to providing innovative technologies and products to customers around the world.

Located at the hub of Southeast Asia's oil and gas operations, the new laboratory will be Clariant's fourth laboratory in the region and the first state-of-the-art laboratory and will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and the same standards as Clariant's oilfield service laboratories in North America and the United Kingdom, using harmonized global standardized testing procedures, providing product formulation simulation and performance testing services
in the technical areas of emulsions, flow assurance, corrosion and fouling control.

John Dunne, Head of Clariant's Oil & Mining Services business unit, said: "The establishment of this new laboratory will further expand Clariant's industry-leading experimental capabilities and product rationing
to customers in the Asia Pacific region.
By optimizing reporting systems, protocols and local resources, the company will be able to deliver quality products
to our customers in the Asia Pacific region.
