PPG expands coatings production capacity in Germany

On January 18, PPG announced plans to invest more than $10 million to expand OEM coatings production
at its plant in Weingarten, Germany.
When commissioned in the second quarter of 2022, the new part of the existing facility will be able to produce more than 5,000 tons of waterborne primer
per year.

The project is part of a series of investments PPG has made in its European automotive OEM coatings production, which is expected to increase production capacity by approximately 40%
starting in the third quarter of 2022.
Other investments include expanding primer production capacity in Valladolid, Spain, and expanding varnish production
at the Erlenbach plant in Germany, which opened just last month.
