Fudan developed a new hydrogel sustained-release formulation

A few days ago, Fudan University cooperated with the Shanghai Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry to develop a new type of injectable hydrogel long-acting preparation, which has a sustained release time of a new peptide hypoglycemic drug of up to one week

This sustained-release agent has a good
hypoglycemic effect in animals.

This study uses reversed-phase polymer gel technology and breaks through the two bottlenecks of initial sudden release and late incomplete release of peptide drug sustained-release carriers, which not only realizes the sustained release of hypoglycemic drugs and the hypoglycemic effect after eating, but also does not lead to fasting hypoglycemia
