The number of substances of very high concern in the EU has increased to 144
Recently, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) said that its member committee (MSC) has reached a consensus to identify 6 new substances as substances of very high concern (SVHC).
These six substances have been added to the
REACH Candidate List for Authorization.
The number of substances on the Candidate List for Authorization has now been increased to 144
.
The six additional authorized candidates include cadmium (carcinogenic), cadmium oxide (carcinogenic), perfluorooctanoic acid (reproductive toxicity), ammonium perfluorooctanoate (reproductive toxicity), di-n-amyl phthalate (reproductive toxicity), ethoxylated nonylphenol (branched or linear) (endocrine disruption).
